We were washed over by something that had not been seen in this world since the beginning of the cataclysm: light. it was dim, but to us it was blinding. We awoke to find ourselves exactly where we were only moments before the catastrophe had begun it's decent onto our world. Only one thing remained as proof that it was more than a figment of our imaginations: people were popping out of thin air, crossing back through the veil that was no longer needed. I was glad to greet as the first of these our illustrious queen Lissar. Both me and my other druid brethren know that some will be forever lost in the veil and ask that those of you others who made it forget them not. We are glad to see you again, but mourn the loss of those who shall never return.

The Forsaken Times.

It was dark... that's all that could really be said of the world in the Forsaken times... if time was even a term that could be applied. Nothing really lived in the limbo that had consumed the once brilliant light of our world. Most had abandoned it, thinking it was coming to an end... and perhaps they were right to do so, as living through the world in that time was a hellish nightmare which lasted at the same time an eternity and only moments. Some were left behind by chance, but others such as myself... well, we knew better. You see, something that has been well instilled in the secret teachings of the druids is that the world is alive... and immortal. She was injured, that much was sure, but a band of druids stayed behind for that reason. Tirelessly we labored on, unable to escape once the cataclysm had hit. Sadly, we made no progress, and were tormented by the screams of pain from our planet. Many of us were driven mad, but still... we labored on. Death in this limbo was an impossibility as some of us found out early on. Just as time held no sway, neither did death and we were trapped in the immortal turmoil we shared with the land.

And so we toiled...

And labored...

And waited...

In the end help came from a very unexpected quarter. Lord Gizash, the villain of the lands, awoke from his deathly slumber once again with his normal plans for cruelty and domination of the realm. His rebirth gave us 3 very important things... his body, an idea, and most of all something many of us had lost long ago: hope.

You see, the vile necromancer had gained over the years before the Forsaken Times the ability to be reborn, which is exactly what we needed the world to do. and so we scoured the lands for the dismembered parts of his body long ago buried, and eventually unearthed all of them.

Next, we sought out the most powerful necromancers in the land, enlisting their aid for the rite that was soon to take place. Their knowledge of death, combined with our knowledge of life would, we hoped, be enough to figure out a way to bring our world back from the middle place it now exsisted.

Through rites so powerful they must not be spoken of, and magics so ancient that only the most elder of us had heard of, we performed a ritual... our last hope. Infusing the parts with magic, we demonstrated for the planet what we would have her do. It sapped many of our energies simply to do that, but only time was restored. She was just too weak, it had been too long. Finally we decided she would need our help one last time. Over the course of what in that void was a millennia, we stored our powers in crystals as they replenished, some of us going into comas for decades having sapped ourselves too much.

At last, we were ready... we gathered all the crystals into the grove... and performed a new rite, more powerful magic than had been seen since the creation of time itself... One that required only 2 words. As one we yelled --------- -------------- (I understand that even now these words cannot be heard by mortal ears, nor spoken by mortal tongues, without the power we had gathered).
