Part 8: The World Ends
You find a moldy tome with writing so faded you can't read it, and decide to ask the librarian about it. He answers: "I dislike talking on this subject. It is at once one of the most frightening, the most confusing, and the most horrifying moments in our history. I know I do not have, and I doubt that anyone has, all of the facts. For whatever reasons, one day the world ended. How can we have memory of this, you ask? It's part of the mystery of the dreaming. Maybe you'll understand when you're older. Our spirits met in the ether once more, fearing another pilgrimage through the darkness. Another miracle and the world was restored. We had moved distance and not at all.
So the world ended and was brought back. And that's all I have to say about that."
