Hmm... so client.exe is that version and runs fine but nwodclient.exe complains about animinfo being corrupt?

When does the animinfo.mul error appears? Does it appear when you run it normally? Or are you running it as administrator?

My general assumption is having two versions of UO installed is causing a conflict. Winters Worth had that a similar problem with the old wodclient. He uninstalled all versions of UO, then reinstalled just one, and the problem was fixed.

Please try uninstalling all UO versions, then installing only the 7.0.15.1 client.

I did as you recommended and I am able to get to the login page. So maybe the server is not up? :D

Well, it's up right now. I will probably leave it on most of today.

Just tried again. I get to the login screen, enter my user name and password, there is a hesitation and then Windows says that the client has stopped working and is looking for a solution.

This is the process I did, FYI:

Option 2. Do the patching somewhere else:
-----
Create a new folder named "patchscratch" somewhere in your user account, for example inside Documents, or Downloads, anywhere you can change files freely.

Copy the following files to your "patchscratch" folder:
art.mul
artidx.mul
gumpart.mul
gumpidx.mul

Extract the nwodpatch.zip file to the "patchscratch" folder. Make sure the extracted files are together with all the .mul files you copied, and NOT within a subfolder inside "patchscratch".

Run wodpatch NORMALLY, please DON'T run as Administrator. It should finish successfully without errors.

After wodpatch finishes the second step, copy all of these files to your Ultima Online folder (you may need to copy them as Administrator). Everything should be ready now. Don't forget to copy the login.wod file too.

Here is what I get when I patch:

Step 1 of 2: Backing up the original files
1 file(s) copied.
1 file(s) copied.
1 file(s) copied.
1 file(s) copied.
Backup copies finished. Now we will apply the patch.
Press any key to continue . . .
Step 2 of 2: Patching files
Verdata2Mul 0.8 Beta by Salabar
Loading verdata.wod DONE
Starting patching art.wod DONE (Patch 4)
Starting patching gumpart.wod DONE (Patch 12)
Press <ENTER> for close the program

Your patching was fine, everything is perfect. Did you also copy the login.wod file to your UO folder? I sent it to you in a PM a few days ago. Download, unzip and copy it to your UO folder.

Another question... are you using Razor, UOAssist or some other assistant program? If so, you must make sure it uses the OSI encryption. I set up the server to accept encrypted connections from client 7.0.15.1 only.

Updated links. Appropriate client and new patch (easier to apply) now available from the WoD page. Thanks to Laephis for uploading them.
