Simon,
while I can feign interest in just how well-developed your fighting skills are, I don't see a need to compare myself to you. In any case, the essence of this encounter wasn't for the sake of who was stronger than who, it was written to reflect the heroic nature of fellow players. That someone could die to 'worthless' monsters (as you put it) and still have the assisstance of fellow players is truly admirable.
I intend to continue writing about events like these, though they do not neccessarily fall into what might be considered (a default) "Quest". In particular, I want to highlight those willing to go on quests, and their their noble efforts. A tradition of writing up fond memories and accounts allows us to share them with others, and so that one good deed and the society grows as a whole.
These events that I write about are not bragging rights. They are not designed to showcase just how magnificent [my characters] can be. They are not a shallow attempt at looking for praise, attention and recognition. I have someone very special in my life that puts up with me on those matters.
These posts are designed to show what a wonderful place WoD is. I am more than a little disheartened that I read your response (simon) as "Tough luck, there. Try fighting something worth my interest and respect."
Now, if this isn't your intention, I apologise. But the matter is that Crozius seemed to have a similar response, and while I won't speak for Ehran, he seemed to diplomatically handle the matter as well.
In any case, I'll be sure to try and keep these events of WoD that I'm a part of up as much as I can, to set a good example and reward players kind enough to rescue me (yet again!).
Also, I love foreshadowing Marius' return in each of them, so you can look forward to that as well.
