How the world ended
I'm ashamed to say I missed the last quest of WoD 7 years ago. I was on the phone with my girlfriend (who is now my wife). Priorities
I was looking at the old boards but I couldn't find a final quest writeup. I'm sure I was told but I just can't remember. Can someone tell me how the world ended (from a fantasy narrative perspective)?

Re: How the world ended
I'm not sure there was one. At least, I don't know it. I knew the date and time the world was going to end and it seems like there was some kind of get-together, but I don't think there was an in-game backstory to the shutdown.

Weren't people supposed to go through a gate or something? Gosh, I wish I could remember.
Re: How the world ended
Now that you mention it, there was a symbolic gate. My guys refused to go.
Re: How the world ended
To be honest, the final "quest" was a bit lame (not surprising under the circumstances).
The party was a lot better.

Aye there was a portal in front of the Queen's Castle after the party. IIRC, we were being called to new lands...
But, it has been a long time, and my memory isn't what it used to be. Man the 30s are rough! Hehe.

There are 10 types of people in the world; those that understand binary, and those that don't.
There is no place like 127.0.0.1, except for maybe ::1

I suppose since technically this is not the backup from that time, that event never actually happened. We're living in an alternate timeline where the world didn't end!Zoram wrote:Aye there was a portal in front of the Queen's Castle after the party. IIRC, we were being called to new lands...
Re: How the world ended
Maybe in this time line, Zoram will actually login and play....

Re: How the world ended
As far as it never happening, that's accurate, as my post "The Forsaken Times" was accepted as official Lore we came back a few days/moments before the cataclysm.

Hey Xan, are playing with a different character? I haven't seen you online yet.
