Re: Mining
lol, i got bloody rich doing that back in the day! even started paying others to mine it for me.
Re: Mining
yeah, but it's bloody annoying... esp clay mining, as there are no mobs that can drop porcelain ingots (nor should there be)

Re: Mining
I like it. Call my weird. Mining is not the most exciting thing in the world but can easily lead to the most profit. Don't know how profitable it is nowadays but I still remember playing UO and seeing players with 100k + of every ore... I've gotten 10k + of most things but never to those kinds of levels. Kind of like inspiration, because it really is boring. It's worth it though, because what you can make is exciting.

*sigh* i remember those days, spending days at a time cutting lumber and mining ore with Twilight Silvermoon...i also remember how much it sucked eggs :/

Re: Mining
The pain and the joy of sand mining. Back in the very very early days, it was even more boring than it is today and you couldn't even make much with it. However, the vendors bought sand and it was way overpriced. I warned the admins and they changed it, but it was still out of balance with ore (there was only one color) and other gathering items. Maybe that was fair, because it was mind-numbing, but my mind was already numb so I mined sand. That was the money that paid for Fellowship Hall.
