Wizards Chess... I mean.. really

Postby Twilight Silvermoon on Sat Mar 27, 2004 11:06 am

In light of the recent chess post.. I dreamed up this little idea: Why not..have two teams of wodians.. each representing the peices of a chess board IE( all the pawns of the black team are dressed alike.. all the pawns of the white are dressed alike, the bishops and ect... so on and so forth.. granted four people mounted on horse back.. for knights and a king and queen for each "team". Each dressed in either "white" or "black.)

Why dont we all line up and be chess peices and let the wizards play against each other. I suppose where would be no need in actual attacking one another as if one peice captures another then that player who was captured sould simply leave the board and the game could continue. I think this would be rather interesting to see heh I would even want to participate... after all.. we all are just pawns :). As for rewards... I dont know I suppose I could come up with something for the winning team but I dont quite know how that will work hehe..

I am open to suggestions as I would like to see this actually happen but I suppose finding 16 people to fill an entire team might be a bit difficult.

I've seen such tournament on one finnish shard, it looked nice...they locked it up in Nujelm(there's a chessboard there), but we sailed there and did few pranks+got jailed :D
It just came to my mind, i did hardly anything...
It would be nice to have one alike, this time without pranks. :)

well... I had orginally planned for the actual admin of the shard to play one another but sure anyone can play.. as long as there is enough people to fill both teams...

Maybe if we ask really nicely, Drocket can mix up a special batch of those transforming potion. So the rooks would be earth eles and the pawns would be mongbats.

Yeah the knight figures can be mounted on horses. :warrior: or better yet they can look something like the marble horse statues 8)

Not sure what to make the bishops, dress them up as monks? Hmm maybe toads
