Player Manual Issues

For some reason I cannot see the menu to the left...
All I get is a 'x' to the left.
is it my machine or is it down?

I'm running win xp.
dont know if java is installed.
I just re-installed windows today, as I was having constant crashing problems, windows would start to boot then hang and give me the 'blue' screen.
But, I wasnt able to see it before that either.
not sure...

Java isn't included with XP so you need to download it from java.com. You will need Java to view the menu in the manual.

That's because the forums don't use Java. The manual does.

Yeah well I meant the manual. I did not have to install java to view the manual.

Well, yes, I guess that is true, but you need Java to be able to use the navigation menu.

Okay, well I just tried again, and whether I was clear or not before, I can access and read all of the manual without having downloaded java.

If you can view the navigation menu you already have Java installed.
