Upstart Mage Council Voting

Postby Atei on Wed Aug 20, 2003 4:56 pm

Tre en: Please make a new locked chest (only you need the key for this one) and place it behind the locked gates in the Guild, or outside in the Pen. In this way we can assure that only the Upstarts place votes.

Voters: Please place your book with a selection for each position noted below in the locked chest and please DO NOT sign the book. Also, please only vote once. :D

All Upstarts are encouraged to vote!

Here are the nominees for each position:

Druid: Iantha Quennel
Necromancer: Corh-Mah Ael
Wizard: Xelio Valquest, Mhoram Variol
Treasurer: Tre en Wildwood

*Voting ends on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at Midnight EST.*

Thanks for reading and good luck!

The Bribe, er, Voting Box is there and secured. ;)

Side Note: I found some gold in our mailbox (not the Donations box) and I have it in a safe place at the guild house. If someone was expecting some gold let me know. Otherwise it goes in the treasury. :D

Just four more days to vote... and very few of us have voted. So, go buy a book and vote today!

On a side note, any news of Corh-Mah Ael? If he will not be returning, we will need another candidate. Mhoram unofficially nominated Xelio, but I haven't heard whether the nomination was accepted or not. Please let us know!

Thanks,

I would be happy to be a candidate for the necro spot, and am humbled for being nominated. Thank you :)

Ok, I know there is a name for this kind of election... but I can't think of it. Basically, we have one candidate for each spot. Tallying votes on this is gonna be dead easy! ;)

It is a little bit before the deadline for voting, but I think we can safely call the results of the election at this point. :)

The Upstart Coucil Leaders are:

Druid: Iantha Quennel
Necromancer: Xelio Valquest
Wizard: Mhoram Variol

And our treasurer is... yours truly :D

If Iantha doesn't return any time soon, we may need to hold another election for the Druid Council Leader or the Council can appoint one or something. But, obviously, we hope you return Iantha! Please! :D

Anyway, congratulations to the new Council! May you lead well :D

an when was I taken off the list? if you had one nominee per an Xel won.. when was I removed?

Or is this just another typical WoD woopsy?
I guess telling people that I'd be back in a couple weeks doesn't matter, that I was waitin to see if the shard was actually goin to move to it's permanent home or stay on the lag central line...so since it's so easy to simply screw the guy next to you, consider me gone.. no longer an upstart.. hell, I'm seriously considering sayin screw this whole shard with all the bull that's gone on in the past 2 months.

As for the upstarts who ran the voting.. I'm glad you got who an what you wanted, with the two faced duoble talking brown nosers that make up MAJOR portion of it's members.. consider this me sayin later, I'd much rather use more colorful terms but this board does have kids on it.

I've never been one to post alot on these boards, but felt I had to say this.

I told Corh that the shard was at it's new home, long time ago when he first started whining and constantly threatening to quit.

As for the voting, I didnt even bother to because I've been thinking of leaving the Upstarts for a few days now.

For my part, I was never told you might come back Corh. The last I heard was that you were gone and you weren't coming back. Tre en and I asked Xelio if he could step in IF you didn't return and he agreed.

If your problem is with the Upstarts, then there are a lot of other things you can do on WoD. If you have specifics to say to one or more of us about being "two faced double talking brown nosers," then please address those concerns to those individuals. It isn't fair to the Upstarts to classify "the MAJOR portion" of the Group in that way.

from what I see it is the upstarts members, key higher up members that are what I said before, I didn;t name names in here, because it wouldn't be right. What I'm doin is expressing my feelings towards what's been goin on the last 5 weeks, and I'm fed up with the lot of it. Being given multiple stories for answers or being outright ignored an lied to. It's stopped being fun. So I'm out

Corh, I asked around with everyone I could find to see whether you would be returning to us. The answer I got was that you had left due to lag issues and probably wouldn't be back. Since those lag issues have continued (and we hadn't heard anything else from you), we had to go with what information we had. Sorry if that upset you.

For my part, I hope you return to WoD. The lag issues won't last forever. I hope you rejoin the upstarts also, but whatever makes the game the most fun for you is what matters.

Take care,

the only thing you ever told me you drunken wannabe is that your tired of your boyfriends laziness, for one I never threatened to quit, to people who knew me I was waitin to see if the shard was goin to move back to it's perm host, if it wasn't I was leaving. an whay was I leaving? because of
1) lag issues
2) everytime somethign went wrong, the reply from the shard hoster was, "I dunno what went wrong"
3) putting up with you constant complaints about your boyfriend
4) puttin up with your constant naggin about your mom, the fact that you had to live with her
5) puttin up with your contant drunkeness

so, next time you want to try an cause some crap in and out of game an you feel the need to spread lies about someone, think first of just how well they know you.

Maybe, the reason you lie about people is because your life is just that boring? or you're just that unhappy with how your life turned out, but you have no right or reason to lie about people, what they say or what they do, or how they act. What I wrote above is inexcusable, but it proves my point, when you push an push someone they will retaliate.

All your comments to me in game about how miserable you are really wasn't making being here fun.
All the other complaints about how the server has been performing must make everyone else a whiner, from what I gathered from your post.

Before you point the finger, look in the mirror first.
