I'm thinking, at this point, I need a new direction. The library, as it nears completion (to which those that patiently stood beside me will be rewarded with evidence that their faith was well warranted ) I find myself at a crossroads.

Do I devote myself entirely to the library, complete with a "Loremaster" character, arcane wizard and scribe who represents and keeps the library updated?

Or do I tie it into the story, writing about Marius' prevalance of stored lore, his immense knowledge on All Things Magical and Mundane, and move to become an educator of WoD, rather than a B-grade villian?

As it stands, I want Marius to remain the same, and want the library to be open to the public.. I have just not found a way to do this. My most likely course of action will be to create a new character and highlight him with a new story, and begin a new stage of my WoD career as a minor, but entertaining figure. I simply posted here to state my intentions, but in truth I call upon the good and imaginitive citizens of WoD to come forth with their ideas to this small, but important quandrary.

Two other important things of note: I will be releasing a 'final list' of *all* the books I have written or found for WoD, (which numbers about ~500, not including the quest entries I have to add) as well as detailing how player submissions and donations (of books) can be made. I will also be holding a small, player-run competition that will get your creative juices flowing, though more of this later.

As it stands, I need thoughts on making a new character to go with the library. I will continue playing and being Marius, of course but if I was to make a new character, I would showcase them with more stories, and redouble my efforts with the library.

I put it to you, people of WoD: what would you like to see?

Marius, is there a way to make "copies" of extant literature in-game (has the printing press been invented in Brittania? ) or do you have to retype everything each time? I'd like to add some personal essays to your collection but I'd like to keep the originals if possible.

For all the OSI'ers, this actually was the Britain Library. There is a way to copy books yes (I've developed a printing press-esque style of my own ) but it needs to be in a text file to be copied into game - there's no way to copy from book to book. But if you outsourced the text by typing it into a text file, you could then copy it to other books as much as you wanted.

I'll have a meeting with some Admin, and see what the reaction is. Maybe they would be willing, seeing all the books I've found or typed, to put them on display in Britain Library. It'd be a great honour for me, and it'd be a wealth of information for everyone else. Also, that library tavern is never being used, and there'd really be no need to *take* anything from it as it stands now, just simply add some bookshelves with books in them.

In other words, I might make a special, mages-only library, because that just seems to make sense to me. Even if I did that, there'd still be some ~300 books in the public library, ranging from topics about Lord British to Mongbats. They're really quite interesting!

The common folk should be encouraged to learn about magic that they might learn to use it responsibly. This in turn will please Mystra and that is a very good thing.
