the person with 21 days of playing time needs to get a job and move out his mom's basement ;)

Hey I resent that. I'm not living in my mom's basement and I work 48 hours a week. And play in 3 white-wolf games (two are Larp one is TT) a week. I just like fishing, alot.

In July there was 744 hours (31 days x 24 hours per day). For someone to have played 21 days, 22 hours would mean they would have played 526 hours or nearly 17 hours/day every day. Even if they only sleep 5 hours/night, that only leaves 2 hours/day for eating, bathroom breaks, showers, interaction with others in the "real world" etc.

I guess all I can say is "Wow."

I thought macroing was somewhat illegal?
not that it really matters, since we don't try and compete with each other anyway

An other possibility would be sharing his account with a brother or a sister. With some non-afk macroing while watching tv and being in front of a computer at work and the total time splited in two, it's getting possible to play 22 days in one month. 22 days minus 192 hours per month (48 hours a week of non-afk macro) then splited in two. it's getting at a bit more than four hours of normal play per day per person.

I have to say that sharing an account with a Brother or Sister would not be an acceptable explanation for me. We did not grant the account to the person plus their whole family, we granted it to them alone. Once you start letting others use your account then you get into a really messy, sticky area where you can deny responsibility for the actions of your characters: "I didn't do it! It must have been my little brother!!!" That is not ok in my book.

As for macroing, the rules state that "absentee macroing while in public" is not acceptable. I would assume that Fishing off somewhere by yourself it might be considered ok.

However, in the past, most people on WoD have objected to macroed Fishing and Mining because these activities tend to spawn monsters that fight the fisher/miner until they get low on HPs and then wander around until some unsuspecting newby runs into them and gets killed. I personally do not think it is very responsible behavior. If you want easy gold, go out and hunt Skara, hunt Orcs, hunt whatever... but kill the mobs you spawn while you are fishing or mining. In other words, clean up your own mess.

macroing (anything, specially to that extent) is just wrong, straight up evil, IMHO. if it's not illegal, i think it should be!

I was thinking more on the lines of scribing. There are 5 people with camping in prime. 100 camping would make keeping a fire going all night efficient and foolproof. Then you wake up with a fat stack of scrolls and who wouldn't like a fat stack of scrolls.

i had two friends who joined up and never really "got" wod. they used to macro scrolls and made 40k a day each for just leaving their computers running and wasting wod's bandwidth. unattended macroing is just wrong.
