Belle & Xan,
I'm terribly sorry to hear the news. I realize it's kind of late to be saying this but my deepest condolences to the both of you (and Homer). Of course, this must have been hardest on you while your husband was still alive. I remember the three months before my grandmother died of cancer--that was a challenging period in my life, to say the least. The lost of a loved one is always hard in any event, but to lose someone to such a horrible disease as cancer (where you have to watch them suffer for a long time before then end comes), that's just something I don't wish on anyone.
I can only hope you came to terms with this long before he came to rest, and that now you may take comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering. I pray to God that both of you have the strength to continue on with your lives and learn to live without the company of your dearest husband (and father).
Sincerely,
- Joram
Ps. I've been away (from computer access) for more than a week now. Sorry for the late reply.
