Reading that post it just seemed to me that he had it in his head that eventually it would change to everything he wanted. In parting words, if you want your own perfect shard the EXACT way you want it make your own. Just try to run it and see the exact amount of time you would take away from the real world, your family, your own time playing games, etc. only to have people complain that it isn't the way they want it without making a single suggestion ..... just complaining.

Ok, so upon reflection (and a morning re-read of the original post), Brother Dirk does appear to be saying something to the effect of "this place just is not good enough for me, and I'm outa here." I can see how somebody might take that as an attack on the shard at large especially when he mentions the player-base in a sweeping generality. Still, we haven't changed anything by sendin him off, giving him the finger and a rasberry.

Wouldn't a "sorry you feel that way; have a good life" kinda thing been a lot simpler?

I don't post on these boards anymore and as many of you may have noticed(some may even care)I don't even play WoD that often(I log in to say hi to friends then leave again)Alot of what was posted here and in other recent posts are the reason why,to put it bluntly I'm fed up it.

What has happened to the shard I joined?I think it's about time everyone took a hard look at themselves(and a little less time pointing fingers at others),then maybe something can and will be done to get back the community we once had.Some say they don't feel it's broken,I beg to differ,it is,and the rant posts of late echo this all to clearly.

NO player has the right to tell another player they have no right to be here.This is OUR shard,all of us,not just yours.How can we possibly have a community when some have nothing better to do than tell others to go away you aren't wanted here.The only time is when a STAFF member feels it necessary to remove someone for their conduct or breaking of rules.PERIOD.

It's also about time that people sat down and heard what others have to say before starting to rant or b***h them out.Amazing what results it has and there would be alot less flaming.

Embrace the new as well as the old.New and fresh ideas bring a breathe of fresh air to the shard,allows it to grow.But still keep some of the old.Children need elders to teach them the paths to take,to guide them on their way.Help them to grow and learn.But at same time elders need children to refresh and renew them.To give back the awe and spirit they once had.WoD was based on community spirit,both young and old,and it's about darn time we started showing,or what was once WoD will be lost forever.

I think more people are having a hard time when others bash the shard instead of giving constructive criticism. More or less.....this shard sucks anymore.
I've been here a long time and yes things have changed, times have changed. But one thing I will say, I have not changed. I will help whoever needs help, talk to anyone who will listen and just be there when needed. But when someone bashes my home, I tend to defend it.
And yes, I agree also about there being more and more complaining going on in here. Well, I guess there is. It wasnt til the last couple months that I spend a lot of time on the website. this is mainly due to me being able to gain access from work now. Otherwise you wouldnt see many posts from me.
Then you have the chronic complainers. People who complain just to create dissention. I think we all know who those few are too. So, when I read those posts, I just shake my head and wonder why they act like that.
I, for the most part can get along with anyone. As long as they arent stepping on my toes and slandering my home....well home away from home hehe
I was wondering why I havent seen much of you. Now I know......dont let this kind of talk get to you. I think for the most part, this talk does not enter the game.

I mostly just have a problem when people don't think before they (speak) type. Honest to God, if people just spent a little bit more time being critical about their own words before they post, 99% of msg board flame-threads could be averted. Just because you put a lot of thought behind your words doesn't mean you cannot be as blunt and direct as you want.

I think, given statments atei had made in the past, that a few people have sucked the fun right out of the shard. A few people might point the finger my way, but i belelve that it is those few who are ruining the fun for others.

Voting is way down and so is play time, we peaked at 11.5K i think.

all in all, at this point it's a blame game and it would seem nothing is being done to fix things.

Though i hope playtime is in a slump because it's spring, and hours will pick up again.
