Personally, if I happen upon ANYONE out there hunting/killing shadowpacks, I first heal them up, buff them up, or if the situation looks dire, I start whacking those nasty little buggers with them. One thing I would NOT do is loot any of the hides. See, in my thinking, that's not "my" pack. Ok, realistically, it's not that person's pack either, but in a sense of fair play, yes it is. It happens to be the pack he is hunting out right now, and who am I to step on his toes? The way I look at it, the quicker this pack is dead, the quicker we ALL can move on to killing another pack. Now, I've had some people immediately tell me that they don't require or desire any help, to which I quickly back off and let them continue their fight. I've also had many people thank me profusely and try to turn over hides to me. And still others who simply continue killing as if I weren't even there, and yoink away, then move along. I figure what the heck? It's a win some-lose some situation. Some people will thank you, some will not. Some need help, some don't. I'm a helper, and that's all I CAN be. If I want to help people, that means ALL people, not just the ones I feel are "worthy" or whatever other nonsense one could think up to justify not offering assistance. Like I said, sometimes it works out well, and the person is very nice about it, sometimes it bites me in the ass. Either way, I'll continue to do what I do regardless of the outcome.
