My fellow citizens:
Last evening Aurea visited The Bank to gather the needed supplies to make some magic jewelry for her friend, Willow Star. Not five minutes after she arrived several ghosts appeared in the bank. They were dispatched but they began appearing outside of the bank as well.
A group of mages and fighters and archers (please sign below if you were with them) took the fight to The Undead (ghosts, undead warriors, disturbed souls, undead dragons etc). They fought them from the Bank to Queen Lissar's Castle and then back again. After they thought they were done (by now Aurea had called her brother Pau), The Undead came back, two or three times. (It was at this time that The Darkess fell on the lands.)
The fight continued until the town was clear and the heroes were gathered at The Bank to begin to split the loot when more of the unwelcome visitors appeared. They led to the graveyard where a rather large group awaited. They were defeated and it was decided to check all graveyards.
This was a wise move because all of the burial sites were overrun with these evil denizens of darkness. Many Undead fell last night to the combined might of the warriors, archers and mages. At times chaotic but mostly under control, the group was unstoppable in dispatching these citizens of the underworld and sending them back to Hell.
At one of the cemetaries a book was discovered, The Book of Shadows (not sure on the title). A copy of this evil tome is not readily available but the basics of the message are:
The Lord of Darkness walks among us and while he or she does, there will be darkness on the lands and the undead will rise up to take vengeance on the good and righteous.
Clearly this "Lord of Darkness" must be found and dealt with so that the lands of Britannia will once again feel the warmth of the Sun.
For my Queen!
Your humble scribe,
Atei
