need for speed underground=awesome game, i wish they made a racing wheel for ps2 like this one http://www.act-labs.com/Products/racingcombo.htm, its still an awesome game with countless numbers of upgrades you can do to a car

i have a question about that shifter, is it one of those where you just push up to shift up and pull down to shift down like a racing shifter?

and thanks a lot but that's not exactly what i was looking for, if you noticed the one i posted was a complete racing setup with 4, 5, or 6 speed shifter and a clutch, not many games are supported but most of the nfs games for pc are and i imagine nfsu will be soon

I have a copy of Nfsu for pc and am having limited fun with it. Not as a result of the game itself..

Ok, here is my problem, since this is my first racing experience on pc I don't own a controller and am forced to use the keypads. I guess racing games can be played with keypad, but I feel something missing from this experience. I NEED CONTROLLER BADLY
So before I go off and buy a usb controller I thought I would ask what people here use.
What would be a good usb controller for someone who has lots of experience on console racing, but is just getting into pc racing?

well for the pc i just use a four button gamepad with a L and R function at the top, i only play pc racing games to test out demos before i buy for my ps2 ( don't ask me why i buy games for ps2 when the graphics on my pc would be much better) but if you're going to continuously play racing games on the pc than a controller that resembles the ps2 gamepad works quite nicely, you have more control over the directional than your more conventional pc gamepads and the extra L's and R's are useful too, especially if you you use manual upshift and downshift, as for specific game controllers i really don't know

...or you can go with the steering wheel and pedal combo

I always found using a good Joystick a useful tool for racing games. I used it alot for Starwars Podracing games and it worked out just fine.
