Corrupt Miner found in the Minoc caves

Postby Dell-Leafsong on Thu Jun 10, 2004 6:15 am

We could detect the familiar smell of Minoc long before we our smoothly cantering unnatural mounts brought us to the edge of the Gypsy encampment. Gay violet fabrics fluttered in the same cooling breeze that brought the scent of sausage and soot that permeates the Minoc region. With a silent act of collective will, Oak, Ash, and I trot almost silently onto the well-worn cobbles of my youth’s exotic destination.

“Dell, me BOY-O, hurry up! The Royal Guards’re on the way to Minoc. If they leave ye behind, ye’ll not be learnin a trade this summer!â€

Dell
Good story!!! Keep it going. Heh, I'm at work and while I cannot play, I yearn for these stories.

The corrupt miner thing really happened (with a little embelishment on my part), and there were trolls in the town, but a 3-line post about that was as fun as that little hunt just isn't in my nature :silly:
More to come, I'm sure ;)

Ahhhh, didnt know that. Well, great write-up and embelishment anyway hehe. I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
What was a corrupt miner doing anyways? Was there just one?

It was really odd. It looked like he was really mining! Then, he saw us and attacked. He only lasted about 4 seconds though . :)

Perhaps someone is paying these miners to mine the ore for them. It could be someone trying to outfit an army.

I supposed that maybe there was a link to the new Smithy deeds especially forged special contracts. My theory is that this fellow is working in league with a corrupt smith and corrupt scribe somewhere trying to defraud our honest shopkeepers out of their hard-earned (seemingly infinite) stacks of gold.

Last week a few of us spent most of the early morning hours defeating the corrupt miners in Minoc. There were so many. Maybe there was a few stragglers left over.

Actually last night several of us spent another early morning cleaning out the caves and the miners camp up in Minoc again, not as many as the first time but still a large number of them! Bassett has the head of the Corrupt Miner Leader from the first encounter. Apparently someone else is controlling them, I wonder who?
