Changes for May 2003
05-31-2003
- Added 2 new categories to the auctioneer, 'Clothing' and 'Decorative items'.
The 'Misc' category was getting pretty large
05-30-2003
- Obsidian/porcelain/totem creatures can no longer be repaired with the tinkering skill
- Tinkers can now make obsidian and porcelain repair kits. The materials and skill
levels required to make these items are the same as required to make the totem
creatures (200 of the appropriate material, 90 tinkering, 90 magery.) The kits are a
selection on the choice menu that appears when you select your material
- Each kit has 10 uses and can be used by anyone, no skillchecks required, You need
the appropriate type of kit to repair a totem creature (obsidian kits for obsidian creatures,
porcelain kits for porcelain creatures)
- Totem creatures no longer permanently break (disappear) when they die (they previously
had a small chance to do so with each death)
05-29-2003
- Made a slightly updated version of the WoD Client files available. This
set of files is entirely optional, and has a few minor graphical changes that should
hopefully make a few things look a bit better. You can find the new files
on the Files page.
See this thread
on the boards for a bit more detail
- Added a yes/no confirmation pop-up on boats when you 'swab the deck'
- Maybe fixed a bug that could cause you to go grey when using poison and/or
paralyzation effects against evil NPCs (or maybe I didn't fix it. Who knows?
)
05-28-2003
- Added a new option to .options: 'Suppress Inscription Messages'
- It appears on the Crafting Options page. When this is turned on, it
supresses sucess messages from both inscription and crafting blank scrolls.
It does NOT supress error and failure messages
05-20-2003
- Added a WoD Terminology reference to the FAQs section. There's probably a lot of stuff
I missed: Just let me know so I can add it.
- Also added a link the FAQ section in the navigation bar (previously was only located on the
front page)
05-19-2003
- Updated the WoD scripts for POL 0.95. The 0.95 scripts are still considered to be
in-testing, and so aren't recommended for novice users who just want to play around with
a local server
- Added some options to .status:
- '.status target' - allows you to view the spell effects on another player. Good for
mages who want to keep someone else buffed
- '.status playtime' - opens the status gump to the second page (playtime)
- '.status guild' - opens the status gump to the third page (guild and quests)
05-18-2003
- Its now not possible to put multiple scrolls in a spellbook - if you try, the extra scrolls
will pop back out.
- Fixed some bugs with henchmen
- Fixed a couple of spells and effects that weren't showing up on .status correctly
05-17-2003
- Added .status command, which displays information related to your status (duh).
The command isn't entirely complete, but here's what it has so far:
- Page 1: Information about buffs and debuffs that you currently are affected by.
The includes the name of the source, the type of buff/debuff it is and how long it
will last (approximately)
- Page 2: Playtime information. Although .playtime is still around, its
hereby considered depreciated
05-11-2003
- Fixed a bug with vampire dragon breath which could cause it to do too much damage
- Fixed player merchants who would refuse to follow their masters
- Fixed a problem with furniture dye tubs and beds
05-10-2003
- Fixed a rather significant problem with platemail legs: previously they essentially
didn't work
05-07-2003
- You will now recieve a message when you log in if you have a pet that was moved when
you logged out (if you log out with pets or henchmen in/near Britain Bank, they get moved
to the nearest inn, which is somewhat to the south-east of the bank. The message
basically just a remind about that.)
05-05-2003
- Fixed a few more bugs with decorator tools and some of the multi-part deed items
05-01-2003
- Fixed a bug with player merchants in that they didn't understand capitalized words
('buy' would work, 'Buy' wouldn't.)
