Now I can't get in, at all

When I was last in good contact, Xanola suggested that I try changing my speech color. I tried to do that, but as soon as I tried to scroll down on the appropriate options page, I crashed. Then I started crashing as soon as I tried to select a character. I had trouble finding and reloading UO, so I thought my problem could be bad or incomplete UO files, so I downloaded the UO Gold files you recommended. Now I cannot even get into the game. I get as far as the username/password screen and when I hit enter, I crash. Ideas?

I reinstalled all client files and am now in game and can talk, and everything. I'm ready to go out and find a new technical problem.

I can tell you that installing Mondain's Legacy for WoD is a bad idea. There's alot of no draw areas now where there shouldn't be. I have to uninstall it at some point but most things seem to be in the same spot so it's only been a minor annoyance up to this point. Gold seems to be the best choice. I think all those years ago we used LB:R and that worked also.
