I found the mongbat champ spawn in Deceit by mistake last week and I've tried numerous times to get it to upgrade but can never get any more than 3 skulls to show...
Am I just not killing fast enough (wasting time looting maybe?)
Do I have to say in a certain range of the altar itself?
My other question is can a single player kill the "champion" or am I gonna need backup?
How does the champ spawn work?

Re: How does the champ spawn work?
That is the Fire dungeon champ spawn, not Deceit's. You aren't fast enough, looting is delaying you too much. At one time we had 5 or 6 players doing the champ and it took them hours to complete. Also the final boss is badass.
Champ Spawn Basics
Champ Spawn Basics
- Each White Skull represents 50 kills (20% of a Red Skull, so you need 250 kills to get a Red Skull).
- Every time you complete a Red Skull, the White Skulls are cleared.
- If you didn't manage to get a White Skull within 10 minutes of getting the last one, you lose all White Skulls.
- If you have 0 white skulls for 10 minutes, you lose a Red Skull.
- Instead of getting a 17th Red Skull, the Champion of Evil will be spawned.
I'm familiar with the acacia. I know how immortality is achieved.

Doing the math, it takes 4250 kills to spawn a Champion of Evil, that if you don't lose any skulls.

I havent' seen another player online in a few weeks so I'm not going to try and solo get a champ spawn.
