So last night I mana stoned two items:

shirt -> garg cloth chest
surcoat -> fancy garg robe

The shirt I mana stoned to the garg cloth chest says I can equip just fine.

However the surcoat I mana stoned to a fancy garg robe says "You cannot equip that."

How did you get an exceptional fancy gargish robe? You shouldn't even be able to have one. I suppose you used the "Modify Item" option in the crafting menu and upgraded it. I corrected that error just now. This error was enabling the possibility of crafting exceptional clothes for everyone.

Now I edited the tailoring config files. All gargish wearables can be made exceptional now, and so they can be enchanted. Why? Because gargoyles have very few clothing slots, unlike humans who have LOTS of magic items to wear.

As for being unable to equip the fancy robe, no idea, I tested it myself by transfering magic from surcoat to fancy gargish robe, and could equip just fine.

By the way, the gargish cloth chest, arms, leggings and kilt are armor pieces, you would be best mana stoning stuff to the gargish robe, fancy robe, body sash, half apron, belt, talons, and wing armor.

Did you manage to equip the fancy robe?

I had a look at your character through my admin interface, it tells me you have this already equipped: Lurid Wolfsong's tempered gargish fancy robe of leadership [surcoat]

It's a robe of blacksmithing, I'll keep it in Lurids main backpack

I replaced it with a working one. It's not a manastone bug, seems more like a gargoyle/POL problem, it's really weird, I need to check it more deeply.
