I have been messing around with the implementation of this.

We have Guild and Alliance chat enabled. EVERYONE in the shard gets Alliance messages, it will be a kind of Global Chat system.

Currently, the Guild chat works the same as Alliance chat. With a simple modification, I can make it so Guild messages will be received only by those in the same guild.

Now the question is... do we want guilds? Should they be made by players or should they just be system-managed? What would they be?

Personally I have been thinking there could be a few system-managed guilds:

• Order Guards
• Chaos Guards

The Adventurers Guild gives you a lot of freedom, and if we add it to the guilds system, then it would become restrictive and conflict with the above. I personally think the AG should stay the way it is now.

Any comments and/or suggestions? Should both Alliance and Guild chat work as global chat? Or should we get a guild system going?

I like the idea of order and chaos, but what about also having adventurers guild system managed? A mage guild perhaps? As for the global chat it seems to work well. I use .msg on occasion and it should still be implemented of course as a private message system rather than the global approach when appropriate.

The problem with adding the Adventurers Guild to the guild system is you can't be in more than one guild at the time. If we add it, you can't be in Adventurers Guild if you are Order/Chaos guard. That's the reason I consider we should leave the AG the way it is.

As for more guilds like a Mace Council, we need to brainstorm that. Could take a few ideas from the Sanctuary scripts maybe.

Having several orders like the Chaos Guards, Order Guards, Mage Council, Rangers, sounds good
