I think this is a fine idea, but it would have to be something player initiated/organized. (I'd be happy to help with the technical details of the event, though.)

Ciara did an enormous amount for the World of Dreams, both as a player and as someone working behind the scenes. Every time I log in I'm reminded of this fact.

I'm so glad to see that the shard is back. Thank you, Laephis. I wish I could login right now! Unfortunately, since WoD went down 7 years ago I have switched to Macs and I got rid of my UO copy years ago. I'm pretty sure I have a copy Parallels and Windows XP, though. Which version of UO should I look for?

Look for either UO: Renassiance, Age of Shadows or UO Gold, install it, and DON'T PATCH. I recommend Renassiance since it doesn't have the Trade Bug (can't add items to a trade window if you didn't open it yourself, and if you did, you have to place new items on top of those already displayed on the trade window).

AoS/Gold has better graphics, but you can just install both AoS/Gold and Renassiance and then copy all the files with a name beginning with "art" from the AoS/Gold folder and replace them on the Renassiance folder and you get the new graphics and don't suffer with the Trade bug.

Also the MIDI music from AoS sounds better than the one from Renassiance, there were several rearrangements.

Wine will work on a Mac. But I've never looked into what it takes. HTTP://winehq.org

Ok, Parallels is working fine and I installed UO Gold. I didn't run the UO client so that it wouldn't patch up. I'm just waiting on the wodli.cfg file. I can't wait!!!
