You know that'd be pretty cool. Newer versions have some pretty cool enhancements. Not so much with the items but the menus and stuff. I have no clue how much of an undertaking that would be but I imagine it would be alot of work.

No, currently you can only use a 2.x client with WoD to maintain the encryption. If I can find enough parts I'll put together a test box that Laephis can throw a clone of the server on to test out additional clients. If he is interested of course. We all have jobs too!

I actually have a test server running in a VM at home. And I found a copy of the old 4.0.0c wodclient.exe file, too. But my initial test wasn't that successful. Also, I remember one of the reasons we didn't stay with the 4.x client: lag/hitching: http://wod.drocket.net/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5518 If I can get things to work (well) then I'll make the 4x client an option. But it may take a POL upgrade to 098/099 before newer clients become a reality.
