cannot get wod to run

Just drop the wodli.cfg in the UO directory and run the wodclient file

ok where would I find this wodli.cfg file? I can only see it in wod_readme.text document.

Ok this is my issue.....I did save the file to uo directory but now I get an error msg from microsoft: wodclient.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Most of us are using UO Gold, not patched. Not sure if this helps, but that is what I would try. As far as the login.cfg is concerned, I renamed that to xlogin.cfg.

Thanks Sorin, I'll play with it for awhile then head off to bed and try again tomorrow. I'm using UO Gold as well.

Did you copy all the wod files named wod.... to the installation folder?
Also if wodclient.exe gives this error, can you try to run OSI's client.exe instead, see if it give same error (if so, it means you have some issue with UO installation, not the WoD related files)?
Maybe you can also try this: After uninstall, go to "Program Files" on your hard drive, and find the installation folder, then manually delete that folder. Then install again. I have noticed when I uninstall UO, the installation folder is not emptied and deleted, some files remain.
