Obituary #2171

Embarrassing and stupid- I don't want to talk about it.
Well, okay. I was on level one (that is correct- level one, uno, eine) of Deceit and I popped a Dijinn in the very first treasure chest. That is normally an easily-handled nuisance, but I was impatient (that old bugaboo), having battled lousing "weather" conditions all evening. I also forgot that I am using rather inferior equipment to what I'm accustomed to, having lost my best and second-best armor and weapons in Yew a few days ago. So I foolishly decided (if that is what you would call it) to pin the Djinn in a corner and bash his bright blue dustdevil brains in with a couple of bold whacks. I don't know what he hit me with, but the brain matter you can see on the wall of Deceit is all mine, not his. I also had to make my first repairs on Spirit, my brand new steed. And so, Kiddies, the moral of this story is that if you are not prepared to take your time and do it right- don't go.
