I can get as far as server list but when I click World of Dreams it just clocks and times out.

That is a tough question, as currently tradeskills can be trained by jobbing, which has an imposed limit of earning 5k gold per day. If I add skillgain to fishing from normal usage, it wouldn't be fair to exclude all other tradeskills from this. No it wouldn't be fair to exclude them. So include ...

Being a mage has never been cheap anywhere, it's an expensive class by definition. Even with harvestable reagents, you get nightshade, mandrake root, garlic and ginseng. Actually, the reagents can be found raw in several dungeons. You need Alchemy skill to process them and make them suitable for spellcasting and other uses.
