On Marius' naming rules:
One issue I have with the rules is that we have quite a varying degree of players here, from those that are pretty young, and those from other countries, with varying degrees of understanding of the English language. The rules you set up were concise and clear to those of us with the ability to understand 'lawyerese' and a good grasp of the English language, but it would pose a problem with those others in the category I just named. As a former Admin/GM of a shard, I can say that I would not have changed the rules, as it makes it a pain to administer if you try to be too specific.
If they do adopt 'Marius version' of the rules, I would recommend putting it into a bit plainer language. Most of the items could be re-phrased to be a bit easier for people to understand, and still get the same point across.
As to a 'naming board', I really do not like the idea. It’s too cumbersome, and would take up too much of the admin/GM's time IMO. If it really came to the point where they HAVE to police every new name that is created, then there are scriptable ways to do so. I just think it’s a pointless expenditure of time for something that really does not happen too often.
