You really wanna screw up the so called player-economy even more?

maybe having to go jobbing for tradeskill increases would be a better idea? (and it'd be real hard to get a crafter-mule maxed)

Changes should not be implemented 'per character'. Because then the effect is multiplied by the number of players that exist. It is why shard economies fall: the game has the premise of being a 'single-player' driven economy, and does not accomodate having lots of people mass-producing items.

If changes are to be implemented - I say again - they must be shard-wide and designed accordingly. Time will tell if this combat "boost" will have any effect.

But I'm just as curious as Kaice .. why are skills going up to 120 now?

As far as I understand it, Drocket said the total "adv" skill gain it +5.0. So it will only be 115.

Maybe Drocket implimented this so there is some character advancement beyond what you can pay for.

120.1

Now some of you have problems with this number so let me clear things up.

As Drocket Stated in the changes page (which you should all go look at before asking questions) combat Skills can now raise beyond 100, adding up to +5 meaning 105. (Note: You must train up these additional 5 points)

Oh wait I see some are still not getting the 120.1

We are going on a bit of a sarcastic trip so try to keep up.

I as Scott Myr (Evil Lord, and Awesome Guy) was out hunting (committing genocide). I saw a message saying your skill has permanently increased by .1 your skill is now 120.1

For those of you sitting there asking how did I get 120 Skill, it is cause I am better then you. :P

For those saying ok he was wearing a buff so it should be 110.1 I say yes I was wearing my buff and I am still better then you :P

For those who realize the Great Scott Myr had left the bank to kill massive amounts of whatever and made the mental jump to realize that what ever Needs Scott's special attention to the point of actually making him put on his armor and buffs, means he was going in prepared with a Natures Bless adding +10 to skill. You don't get ridiculed :) and if you are nice maybe a cookie.

I said Maybe a cookie.

So for you mathematicians 100 base skill +10 for buff +10 for Natures Bless and the new bonus of +0.1 = 120.1

Now please stop asking me how I got 120.1 and please stop spreading rumors that I cheat or get special consideration. I may be Evil but I have my Honor.

If I offended you, try to realize I don’t like rumors that I cheat or I get special consideration. (Especially when I don’t :P)

it's in the fighting skills (weapon, tactics, parry, anatomy) regardless of what you have spec'd

This isn't 'normal' advancement, though: this advancement occurs in addition to the normal .spec limits

This means that only .spec ed skills can be raised, meaning that I was right in posting that...forever. muahaha

Actually, it means that all skills that can get this new bonus above and beyond what the .spec limits are.

If you have one of the skills this works for set as a Primary it can go above 100
If you have one of the skills this works for set as a Secondary it can go above 80
If you have one of the skills this works for set as a non-speced skill it can go above 60.

My archery, not .speced, has a bonus of +.1 as of this time.
