Im not as articulate as some but im gonna give it my best shot.
Some people say that there aren't enough quests. Some say that there are cliques. Some even say that the quests aren't meant for everyone....Well i say WOD is what you get out of it...what you put into it.
Tristan Gryphon received a special map last week. We gathered together and went treasure hunting. In the chest with some of the loot was another map. Eventually we ended up hitting every shrine each chest containing another map. We had a blast everyone who was there went on and on about how much fun they had.
A few days later Scott Myr received a bloody map.
At first no one could read it then Nana spoke to us in a voice full of confidence and wisdom. Shortly thereafter a wanderer strolled thru the doors of the Brit bank...a little bedraggled but helpful. She couldnt read the map either, apparently, it was broken but all was not lost. Miraculously, the map was fixed and the adventure at hand.
We gathered together yet again...13 of us...we did the bloody map and low and behold another map was discovered along with a rare, green, glowing pyramid.
But when we emptied the second chest...there was no map. Moral was low and the thought crossed more than a few minds that the big treasure hunt was at an end.
Then we decided that our fun didnt have to end there. Everyone pooled their maps together and we started on a 10 map quest of our own...doing worn and ragged maps. The trek took us to far reaches of WOD... and again...fun was had by all.
So you see we didnt need a "quest" or "special map" to have a good time...we made our own fun.
And to me ......that is the most important part, having fun.
