Myself, Skeeter Byrch, and Strade Silverbow were in Shame level 3 when we came across 2 sr headhunters. One had a note that read.

"Gather many heads. For his time grows near."

Was all that we found so far.

Skeeter Birch and myself also ran into a camp of headhunters. We actually was confronted by a gypsy named Susana at the Brit Bank and she told us of the Headhunters. So we went to check it out.
We defeated the camp fairly easily. There were a couple senior headhunters, a chieftan, and about 15 other junior and regular headhunters.
We got 2 notes from them.
They read:
Send the word to prepare for the gathering.

and

He comes soon, Gather the offering.

after we defeated them, we then had an encounter with an Ancient Headhunter. Tough little bugger he is.
He told us that out people will fear that we ever ran across them. I told him, "yeah right, like we do now? NOT!!!"
Quickly he dispatched 2 daemons on me and Skeeter took him on solo while I was downing the Daemons, then he summoned a third one. Little did he realize what kind of hurting Skeeter could put on someone. She just about had him when had to retreat a bit because she needed healing. He followed her but couldnt kill her, he was still kinda low after Skeeter was healed and it looked as if he was running away from her but ran
right into me. Then he disappeared into thin air.
We didnt hear from him again. Guess he thought better of it and fled.
So, now we wait for their invasion. Wonder when that will be.

I just found a group of headhunters camped outside my home. Not sure if they wanted to bunk for the night, but whatever reason it was a bad ida for them. The Chieftan didn't go down without a fight. The mage cast like a intellectually gifted necromancerm, casting 3 daemons when I thought it was almost out of mana.

The note reads:

Gather the troops.
The time grows near.
He shall soon be with us.

I was in Covetous and jumped by a group of Shadow Warriors. When my pet finished them the assassin had a note on it. It commanded them to hide in ambush and gather heads. I found more of them on northern Moonglow but killed them easy. Thinking of checking towns I went to Yew and ran by the graveyard. About 15 assorted headhunters came after me but the only one that could keep up was the cheiftan. He killed me and my dragon twice. Xandermaya (Believe thats right) eventually had to kill him. He had a note on him saying something about "He is coming back" or something along those lines.

Talk about being in the right place at the wrong time.

Ok, here is 2 more notes..black one from shadow assasin, Covetous and white one from a Headhunter Chieftain,Yew

Black note says:

- Lay in wait and ambush those you may. We have been told to gather heads.

White note says:

- Rally the troops. For the time grows near. He will soon walk with us again.

Last night I was on my way to Despise when several headhunters along the mountains ambushed me to the north of Brit. Dispatched several when I ran into a Chieftain. He almost killed me a couple of times and killed one of my henchies before I could say run. Took her down in about 3 or 4 hits to give you some idea how hard they hit. We on the other hand barely scratched him. I then ran to the Brit bank and got some help from Skeeter and Herakles. We proceeded to defeat the rest of the headhunters when Herakles found a note on one of them reading:

Begin to gather the troops. For the time to gather grows near.

Herakles also died one time as well as another of my henchies after that. The Chieftains are very fast and persistent. You can run several screens away to try to heal up the next thing you know they are still chasing you.

My tactical suggestion for those of you who run across some of these buggers is:

1. Take down what you can (keep an eye on your life line of course)
2. If you see a Chieftain – RUN! (Unless of course you are a good player or at least better than me )
3. If you are a tank, get a support mage to keep you alive while you whack away at them.
4. When this quest comes to past I would recommend the Tank – Support mage combination to defeat them.
5. Also make sure everyone has poison protection. They seem to love to use that on you.

Minoc was overrun by Shadow Warriors. Downed them and received a note which said "Approach the towns gradually.We must gather heads to prepare for the ritual"

Then I .own'd it and it disappeared. Do they decay?

This is all very similar to the post I made about the Chieftain Sholeh ( ) and I ran into near Shame.

Working together (I am the mage, she is the tank), we defeated the Chieftain. But as I stated before, they are toughies. Probably along the same lines as a Troll Chieftain.

Does anyone know Kahji? I happened by his place today (West, NW of Britain one of the farm houses). The house is called Tel'Ndor En Armar. Inside the house were 3 mostly useless vendors. Outside the house--and this is the important part--were pouches lined up along the South wall filled with the preserved HEADS of various Wodians. Heads?!!

Is this Kahji connected with the head-hunters? Is he some kind of eccentric collector? Am I totally off base?

Kahji plays here and he collects heads. Kinda like Rocks, except I don't think Rocks has his on display.

Hehe Rocks has a small house with all the heads decorating the walls. I also have a collection of about 20 or so heads but I keep that in the bank.

The Troll Chieftans are nothing compared to the Headhunter Chieftan......just to let ya know Atei
And their mages......pretty darned good. I was downed by one of them, his daemon and a couple other headhunters.

ps......I have a few heads to hunt, and cant wait to see those Shadows as well.

I was trying to approximate it to something we've fought before. Hmmm. Maybe a Royal Dragon without the fire then?

And the Mages are tough, for sure. Sholeh ( ) and I were doing a Guard Quest at Sacrifice and there were about ten of them buggers, including the mage. Darn near got both of us (but he didn't).

I don't think the collection has been added to lately.
