Tell me something Simon, how many "meaningful" items did you add to this discussion? Are you admitting (by your assertion above) that you do in fact believe oldbies get preferential treatment, and that people are honestly quitting the shard
because of the shadowpacks? Trying to place any validity on those comments AND attempting to convince
us (msg board readers and WoD population at large) that holding such views is justified, makes you a troll in my opinion.
Whenever someone jumps out and says something like "but then everyone knows oldbies get special treats," that's just asking for a flame right there.
This isn't the first (and unfortunately, probably not the last) time you've turned a normal thread into a flame war.
The term is frequently used to discredit an opposing position in an argument. This usually amounts to an undefensible ad hominem argument: many views that have met with opposition and even the ridicule of experts have subsequently been found to be justified, so the label "troll" used this way is actually likely to indicate a correct but controversial position that is stirring up flames precisely because it has challenged a doctrine others actually realize is wrong.
A ha! so you
DO admit you think you are just being "persecuted" because of your belief that oldbies get preferential treatment. I suppose you wholeheartedly agree with a certain someone's opinion that Admins are corrupt and they like to give special favors to their "friends." A bit of
quid pro quod going on here, Admins give us the kw3l stuff and we come to their aid on the public relations arena, is that how WoD works in your opinion?
After all, aren't we the persecuting "experts" and you represent the ridiculed "opposition" and that's the whole reason people like to call you a troll?
(It is quite possible to stir up controversy with a wrong argument, but these can more effectively be met by simply responding to the substantive issue.)
And I suppose I did not respond to your accuss...err...statements concerning oldbies, shard politics, and shadowpacks? Did you perhaps miss that post of mine or did you purposely decide to ignore it because you didn't know how to respond to it (as it is so customary for you to do)?
I think you've "stirred up controversy" using the wrong arguments one too many times and THAT is the reason people call you a troll. Think about it (I know it's hard but try), if reason and logic were on the side of your arguments, wouldn't you have more people arguing in favor of those arguments than against them?
One more thing to keep in mind . . . you didn't get the troll label on this thread. You acquired it a long time ago on a much different thread so all your supposed arguments about how you are being persecuted for holding unpopular views do not even hold water if
we (the people arguing against you in
thisthread) did not assign that label to you in the first place.
