Has anyone else here played Neopets? I made the mistake a couple of weeks ago of giving it a try, and (to my surprise), its actually pretty fun. Its a free web-based game that's sorta like Pokemon, at its heart, but it has about 50 billion other things to do. I've had the most fun running a shop and trying to keep it stocked and profitable (the game economy is rather interesting. Its given me a few things to think about...) There's also a ton of games different games.
If anyone wants to give it a try, please use the link above - you get special items for refering people

I played that game for over a year when it was new. Then I had a bit of a disagreement with the owner. I didn't break the rules- I knew the rules very well and did things that were not forbidden but probably should have been. I've gone back to look at what changed there and that game has gone so downhill every since it commercialized. During its first year, it was a great game. Players were treated as people and our suggestions were used. If you want to waste a few days its a half-decent game, but I don't think it's even worth the time now with how much it's changed.

I tryed it and kinda liked it in the begging but my recommendation is is that it is not worth it to invest your free time in it. It is a fun game in the begging but it just gets repetitive.
Ah yes...Neopets...

My daughter is a Neopet fan. She is constantly telling me about things she "sold" and new pets she obtained etc...She absolutely loves them.
I've yet to try it out..but I have a week off for Christmas now, might be time

I unfortunately got suckered into this black hole of your mental health game. My son told me to check it out, and I started messing with it when he had downtime on the WoD. Now, I pop in periodically to check on my shops, get my interest at the bank, or whittle away a couple hours playing slots..hehe. Unfortunately, these little freaks..er, I mean pets, are coming to McDonald's. They're popping up everywhere. Everyone remember the movie Gremlins? Perhaps they were prophecizing NeoPets? Makes you wonder.

Friggen Neopets!! Spend hours refreshing a store just to miss a friggen peice of food! I hate it.
Spent three hours playing a bug infested Armada with a friend. We finished the game and got a lousy 100 points.
It's a stress creator, and I can't stand it!
Sorry, but I have a problem with Neopets.

Not as much of one as I do.

I don't really 'play' Neopets much anymore, but I do enjoy some of the minigames. The new Freaky Factory game is pretty fun, for example.

I looked at the website. I might try it when I get home. If you all said it was fun, then hey.....why not?
