I should probably be trying to write a "final thoughts" post right now, but I can't seem to get myself to do it. So in the true spirit of denial, I came up with another idea. Instead of having Friday night come and go without nary a word, I thought a party would be much more "wod-like". A really big party. The kind of party where you invite anyone who has ever been a part of WoD. (Maybe even get some old admin types to make cameos) I still need to discuss the details with the other admin but the basic idea would be:

When: Friday night @ 8:00pm Central time
Where: The Nujelm Palace
Who: Anyone who has ever loved WoD.

One thing I've always wanted was to see how many people we can pack on the server...maybe you can fulfill an old man's dreams? Well, if you're not interested in a party, that's ok, I'll understand. It's just that this stupid poet once said that the world ends with whimper and not with a bang. I'd like to prove that bastard wrong.

Its a shame I will be at work friday night,I was thinking of calling in but I will be unable to,I will be very sad and will be counting down the time at work,and of course I will try to log in when I get home.... in hopes things have chaged.

Unfortunately i have a wedding rehersal on friday so i cant make it either would one of the gms please pop trakas in as a npc just so i can be there also how bout if we can take a screenshot and post it on the boards so everyone can have a copy of the friends of wod picture

I would love to be there, unfortuntely, still no internet at my house, and can't exactly load up UO on the lab PC here. Everyone have a blast for me, I will dearly miss this place, and all of the people.

SS.....too bad you cant be there. Will you be moving to a different shard once you can get internet?

Unfortuntely, I do not think we will be getting the internet at all. I have 18 credits this semester, plus I'm heading up a bunch of committees and such for my Civil Engineering societies...Just what I need, another distraction Plus DSL is the only thing offered around here, and we would need a phone line for DSL. Bad thing is, we all use our cellphones. We came to the conclusion that we'll live without internet, since we don't all feel like paying for the phone line we'll never use (call us cheap, and we'll call you correct). So yeah...I'll definitely be there in spirit, and anyone who knows me can agree to that.

I'd also like to encourage everyone to play between now and Friday, and not run off to other shards <i>quite</i> yet. I promise, I'll try to make it worth your while...

I am going to the Royals game at 6:30 central with Jon Leir. I hope the shard will still be up when we get home. I am hoping and praying that it will stay up long enough us to be there. By the way when does it close exactly.

Well, it seems most of the people posting on this thread can't make it...but I'll be there!

Originally we had said 10pm Central, but I think things will be flexible knowing that people will be trying to make it later.
