Outlaws

Postby Wynne on Wed Oct 15, 2003 1:49 pm

I'm looking to establish a plotline in which my Wynne and company are vigillantes hoping to further the cause of women's liberation throughout the kingdom. To do this Wynne needs to hunt down some of these outlaws and pirates and things.

Can anyone tell me if the outlaws are still around? Are there any clues lurking around?

Yesterday I was ambushed by a group of them Northwest of the Yew moongate. They were a larger and more powerful group than the encounters of late, indicating they are getting more organized.Among their numbers were adept mages, archers and warriors(partially armoured in plate armour).

In addition,Jon Leir came across another group camped at the Minoc/Vesper moongate.

Do outlaws in particular have something to do with women's liberation?

Outlaws have been spotted and their scouting bands vanquished in may places in the World.

- n jhelom isle
- n of britain
- e of minoc moongate
- w end of serpent's hold (above what used to be a bank in other dimensions)
- e of yew (e of Benson's)
- nw of occlo (near shoreline)
- nw of w trinsic gate
- se of skara brae below farmlands

They undoubtably appear other places as well. For example, Sachiko and I fought some near the Britain moongate but found no camp. She, in particular, has discovered and decimated many of the bands at the locations listed above.

From the moderate exposure I have had with the Outlaws, women in the groups need no liberating since they appear to be in commanding roles as often as males. But, I could be wrong and they all definitely need killing.

Being outside the law, the outlaw women would be the most free of all. Killing them would be anti-women's lib.

It does get a little confusing doesn't it. I meant something along the lines of Wynne finding the strength to be liberated herself. Seeking out evildoers, satisfying Justice and Valor gives her an almost spiritual sense of liberation now. It's fun to play her now that she has the freedom that magery is affording her.

The incident with the Sisters in the Den is changing her mind about the whole sisterhood movement too. She's probably going to be much harder on evil women in the future and less likely to judge men so harshly.

Anyone up to going to all the camps so far and making runes for a runebook?

I can't make runes, but I'd love to go with you, Kale and whoever else wants to, if you do go to all the camps.

Just don't mark right in the middle of the camp, might prove awkward at a later time.

While doing maps in Yew I ran across Thomas, being the adventurous types we decided to check the outlaw camps,so we headed to Brit bank to put together a hunting party. There we were joined by Ciara and Cathavene, and a short time later we ran across Bayn and Sachiko, who joined our intrepid group of warriors. We hit camp after camp clearing them. Then we headed to the Trinsic camp. There we discovered the outlaws have a new member of their ranks,Dark Priests. These guys hit hard and fast. One alone cast 3 Daemons simultaneously while hitting me with Corp Pors(Thanks for saving me Cath :D )

Yes, the dark priests are a new and deadly part of the outlaw arsenal. Later in the evening, Sachiko, Cathavene and I checked out other outlaw camps such as Occlo, Serpent's Hold, Cove and north of Britain. The only place we found any outlaws was the camp north of Britain. No dark priests in that group but I imagine we will see them in all the camps before long.

So far ive visited 3 camps or used-to-be-camps. There is no outlaws there. At first, I thought that the spawn had only been cleared but I can't see any campfires/roasting pig thingers/other normal camp stuff? They gone and I missed something?
