Sheesh, people shouldn't be afraid of a little conversation.

Nope. But you are claiming that Garrett was abusive by saying "as well" when you don't know that he was.

Well Garrett himself said he tore the guy up. He doesn't deny calling the beggar a lamebrain ingame.
He called the person playing the beggar a pile of refuse right here on the forums. I don't think that's the proper way to treat a fellow player. I guess I don't know if that really qualifies as verbal abuse, I suppose that could be Garrett's idea of "tough love" or something.

Beggars suck. Seriously, they really suck. We're an assumed Out Of Character shard, so someone roleplaying a beggar is still begging, and they are gonna get snapped at by a lot of people.

The Magus Designated sucky-class citizens have the same rights as every other citizen.

Garrett isn't playing along with the "How should an Order Guard handle a situation?" game because he wasn't in character when he snapped at this person. He snapped at him because Beggars Suck.

Oh yes, Garrett's post about being cruel to others because others were cruel to him was such an endearing excuse for his behavior.

We're defending Beggars now? Give me a break.

Yeah, I'll defend beggars. If anyone pks or simply attacks a person for begging I won't shut up until the perpetrator is banned from Wod. A boring idea, but luckily these guys are all talk.

Well I hope you guys work it all out. Maybe a duel would make a good story for this forum. I just hope you keep in mind that Order Guards represent Queen Lissar and the Queen as certain rules of conduct for all those in Wod.

In the words of a lesser man, I would have to say that this is amazing. What's on trial here, his character (as in bearing) or his actions?

I wasn't there, and I don't particularly cared if he hit him with a Invulnerable Shepard's Crook of Power and Ruin or gave him 500k in gold.

I think what's more important is how the damage control is done. I wouldn't think something as simple as a slight misunderstanding of a situation would blow up so mightily.

But then, I'm not being persecuted, so maybe I'm not in touch with the insult of the statement.

By the way, Order guards (in general) would you approve of a sort of 'holy' magic that was Order and Chaos aligned. Meaning, two different types of magic. "Strength of Order" "Hand of Chaos", etc?
