I've been here for a few months now and I still haven't bought a house ever on this shard. I just didn't see a need to. Anyhow, is it worth buying a house? Better to buy small or big, and why? Thanks in advance.

You don't have to live in the streets anymore, isn't that a good reason?

erm, Depends on your needs. Start out with a 90K home, or find someone to bunk with. Look at your friends houese. See what you like about them.
Its all up to you, having a place to put them nice deco items you'll find is a plus though.

I started out in a little one roomer deeded home. And then shortly after i moved into a 3 room static, and i lived there for awhile, and now i moved in with my fiance.

when you run out of storage space in the bank it's nice to have a house to stash the vast amount of gold and toys in. it's also nice after you've been here for a while to have a place to show off some of the quest items you've gotten.

As to size, that's largely personal preference, one thing to keep in mind is the larger deeded (and in some cases static) homes are hard to decorate given the number of lockdowns available (hopefully maybe someday Pol will handle toplevel items better). The large marble patio seems to be about the best in terms of available area and lockdowns.
There really isn't much in the way of a con as far as owning a house goes, one pro is the additional storage, your bank box at least theoretically has a limit of 500 items, not actually sure if that's actively enforced though.

My recollection is that the limit is four hundred *separate* items (a pile of 10,000 bandages counts as 1 item), and once you reach the said limit things start randomly disappearing. Boone would also say "you have reached the limit of 400 items" or something like that.
How do I know this? I write a lot of books.
Mind you, this was a ways back, and could possibly have been changed. My apologies if this information is outdated or misleading.

Yeah, I went over 500 items and received a big, red warning message that I was over 500. Being paranoid, I immediately took out what I could and put them in a chest in my house, so yes there is a good reason to have a house.
