Not your ordinary delivery...

Postby Adroi Andune on Tue Apr 20, 2004 11:11 pm

I woke up in Skara feeling rested and relaxed. I dropped on down the carpenter to see if he had any odds or ends I could do. I spent time working on his small jobs, but got bored with his non-talkative nature. So I headed for Moonglow,

Now Engracia is always the talkative one. I was pleased do work for her. Then she asked if I could run some errands for her. I was glad to say yes. There I was running from shop to shop delivering the items as a special mailman. Though my feet were getting tired.

As I sat and pondered what to do with my sort feet, and idea struck me. I shall go find a horse, one similar to the one of my younger days. I quickly came upon a horse and was just finishing getting him to allow me to ride him, when an apparition (ghost warrior) appeared. I had encountered several apparitions as of late in Moonglow. However, this one was much more powerful then the first. I was happy that my newfound friend, Happy, was so quick. We bolted back to town and lost this apparition. Just how strong was this apparition? I thought to myself.

Happy and I gathered our wits. I grabbed the silver bow that Jazzy had given me on my first night back. Happy and I then went to meet the apparition. My timing had been shaken by the long boat ride. The apparition got a couple of hits in, before I finally returned him to his proper resting place.

I then decided to go see what had become of the town meeting site. Another ghost, and I quickly dispelled of him. I then saw that nothing stood where once there was a nice stone table. The very site where the trolls had proclaimed Moonglow, not even a glimpse of the past. Nor were there any markers where Gizash had boldly stood and handed out shields. (Just to make sure the history books are correct, I didn’t trust Gizash and neither did I need a shield. Hence I never acquired one from him.)

But I deviate from my misadventure. After all of that, I returned to Engracia and she gave me a package to take to Trisnic. Wonderful I thought. Happy and I set out for the moongate. In and out of gates we went, next in line was the Yew moongate. So far, in all my travels I had not had a problem. This time was different. I heard the wolves howl and jumped into the gate, only to be followed to the Trisnic gate. There I was overcome by that strange sensation of seeing my body on the ground. Poor Happy was nowhere to be seen. Perhaps he escaped my terrible fate.

My power of telepathy then manifested itself. A quick thought asking if I need assistance, then another from Aislin. My reply, to Aislin was nay. I quickly went to Trisnic and Rico returned my spirit and body. Back to the moongate I ran. There I found my tormentor still hanging about. Another bite and that funny sensation came about. This time I decided that I might need help. Aislin, was wonderful, as was Cameryn. Soon the path from Trisnic to its moongate was clear of problems. I met Aislin and she insisted I keep the pelt to give to the guard in Yew. All I could think of was the delivery I failed to make and the fate of Happy.

After some reluctance on my part, I agreed to accept the pelts. Of course I asked if Aislin could keep me from having to make that dangerous trek. She agreed. We had the misfortune of appearing right in the middle of 6 or more of these foul beasts. Chaos ensued in Trisnic, as they would not let us safely return. Cameryn appeared and cleaned the peaceful streets of Trisnic

All of this in an attempt to deliver a package. Once again, many thanks to Cameryn and Aislin. In all the confusion, I think Aislin’s friend (nephew?) handed me a gift, many thanks if that was the case. And to the nice chap who asked me at the Brit bank if I wanted to hunt with them, thanks again for asking. And next time perhaps I will have time.

glad to see you are having fun well apart from the being rent limb from bloody limb by the slavering jaws of doom. :)

I was more than happy to lend a hand. But i do have the misfortune to be blessed with the ability to drop a gate precisely on top of the biggest and deadliest pack of wolves in Yew. Its a gift. :?

Nice storytelling ...by the way.
