What wound? I say have the guard make fun of your for a week or so whenever he/she sees you for being such a wimp and not having the guts to make your own kills.

I must say, such changes would only hurt newbies who may not be able to handle something and flee to a guard for help, which unless i'm wrong is why the guards are there in the 1st place, in no way do i think such changes would be helpfull to anyone.

That's exactly the point, the change would not "help" anyone. The guards are not around to do your dirty work, they are meant to keep the streets free from "criminals." Whether or not a newbie can handle a mob is irrelvant: The game is meant to be played by people, and I'm tired of seeing players find ways to get the game to play itself.

How could it conceivably hurt newbies? They can still run to the guards to enlist their help vanquishing a MOB they cannot quite handle. They just don't get loot unless they do over 50% of the damage. At least I thought that was the tentative thought Drocket mentioned.

Yea that sounds like a good idea. If you can't handle it run a different way and come back to them real slow and only get a couple at a time or whatever. Don't use the guard so you won't lose any loot. The shadowpacks are fast but you can out run them all the time. Unless you run out of stamina, but then that's your fault for not eating right.

All I'm saying is it feels like a knock to newbies because some vets were acting very stupid.

Hey, I'm all for more interaction with the game, how about changing mining to one ore per swing and only so many uses for each pick axe?

Mining resources depends on ones mining skill. The higher the skill, the more you get. Pick axes and shovels do break.

Actually, you're right here. Tools really do need to wear out.

Atei, I don't know who is doing it, I didn't bother to do this quest, I was just going by what was said here. It could have been newbies for all I know, no names were used, but I didn't think newbies would be out hunting wolfpacks.

you may rest assured that those parties to this cheesy gaming will feel most profoundly wounded by any actions taken to limit their "playstyle".

Sure they do. I have seen (young) players hunting wolfpacks. Not too effectively but they are trying!
