Not to rain on any parades but there is a big difference between "like" and "love". Someone may like you but not love you and of course the inverse is true as well. To go even further into this examination of human emotions and our subjective perceptions thereof, one may tolerate you but not especially like you.

For example, suppose you are a somewhat rash individual who always charges into the forefront of battle, thus taking a lot of the heat and inevitably dying. The other members of your hunting group might not like you at all but they tolerate you sufficiently to invite you for the very purpose of having an expendable foot soldier. So, because they invite you to all their hunts, would you perceive them to like you or even love you as a person? An interesting concept, is it not?

And just because my fingers refuse to stop typing at the moment, I must say that the word "love" is WAY overused. What does "love" actually mean?

Quite possibly the best way I have heard "love," as in romantic love between two people, described is: when they are so much a part of you that you don't know where you end and they begin.

is it just me or does that actually sound creepy. guess i need to stop watching john carpenter movies like the thing.

for me love is placing someone else's happiness ahead of my own. not that that is ever going to happen hehe.

To me love is.....

When someone is so a part of you that they are the last thing you think of as you fall asleep and the first thing you think of when you wake up.

You anxiously anticipate seeing them and then the very sight of them takes your breathe away.

in THAT sence. to me love is the one and only feeling that can tear you away from dark pain and suffering,
warm arms that wrap around you when you are cold and in pain, needing to be held and kept safe from all around you...
bah. sorry im rambling.

in any case. i love eveyrone. but i only love one and one only. in this world its Daeron Hale.
*smiles* and we wont go into anything about the real world.

Love is both a noun and a verb. Love is not just a feeling; it is action, it is commitment, it is a guiding principle to live your life by. While the "feeling" may not always be present, the object of your affection could never doubt your love for actions speak louder than words.
It is very easy to say "I love you." It is much more difficult to (always) act like you do.

Bravo!
To extrapolate a bit further, love as a guiding principle in ones life may not necessarily indicate affection towards a person or object but a complete acceptance that everything is as it should be at any specific point in time.

Bah, balderdash, rumplestiltskin....hmmm, why did I say that last one?

It appears you like to receive care, attention from others and get warm fuzzies. That is way different from love.

it kinda hurt when joram said he didnt love me anymore. *starts to cry*

Don't cry! Even the doughtiest warrior can fall to pieces when a fair maiden cries. Well, some of 'em do certainly. I just sigh and hand them the nearest tablecloth.

Well, Joram made you cry eh? That is outrageous! Uncalled for! How dare he, the dastard! Want me to beat him up? I like beating up Order Guards! *cheery smile* Either that or you could file a lawsuit with the Queen's royal lawyer. I bet you could sue the pants off Joram and they would be worth a lot since they are made of gold. Of course, he'd look funny running around with an Order shield and no pants. hmmm.
