Wod Manual Problem...

Postby Rime on Wed May 19, 2004 3:22 am

I have had this problem ever since the "new" manual web page came out... but I am just not getting around to asking about it... The tool bar on the left side of the screen doesn’t show up for me... I get that little white box with the red X in the top left corner of where the toll bar should be... Whispers computer has no problems with it... I am on XP professional and I just updated my internet explorer last week... Can anyone help me?

That probably should be changed so people don't have the problem. I'll rewrite it when I can. The problem is that it requires the Java runtime package since it is a Java applet.

If you go to

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

and click the 2nd link on the page, the one that says

Download J2SE JRE

then you click the Accept checkbox and the Continue link and THEN pick the platform you need.

Depending which link you clicked, you either downloaded the whole Java runtime setup file to somewhere on your hard drive or it installed itself.

If you downloaded the whole thing, it took a long time to download and you have to find that file on your hard drive and doubleclick it to install it. Hopefully you downloaded it to your desktop or My Documents or something?

After it is installed, you will be able to see the Manual menu.
