During the very heavy lag today I was killed by some Praetorians, Angry Townspeople, and Mercs when I exited the moongate in Skara Brea .
Janas Dalarin, thanks for the rescue and for helping me get my items back. Once I finished getting my stuff back I realized I had gotten a note and a new body sash off of one of them.

The note said:
Bring Me Heads! I want all Britannians to cower in terror! -The Prophet

and the sash is red and was labelled 'The Order of The Prophet'.

Are the Praets working with the angry townspeople? Are you sure it wasnt a Rogue Knight? I know I have run into them at the same time.

I am not sure if they are really working together or not, because the Praetorian Mages, Archers, and normals where around the moongate; where as most of the Angry Townspeople, Adept Mages, Mercs, and Brigands were near the city.
I think some of the Praetorians may have followed people from the Trinsic moongate which is the hop right before Skara Brea.

I've encounted a group of Angry Townsmen and pirates at each of the Britain, Jeholm and Yew moongates so far. It seems they are attemting to waylay the tavellers of the land.

I also encountered pirates and townspeople at the moongates. I was attacked by a rogue knight and angry townspeople as I approached the Moonlow moongate. They were in hiding right in the ring of stones. I killed them and walked to the gate again, when a mage and pirates jumped out of hiding. I cleared the gate, ran around to see if any others were hiding, then went through the gate. As soon as I appeared in Britain I was instantly ambushed by mages, brigands, townspeople and pirates. I withdrew a little ways to heal, then went in, killed them, and cleared the gate. The odd thing is I didn't kill or find any of the mages that had ambushed me. Could they be traveling through the moongates also? That could also explain how the gates have been repawned with pirates so quickly after they were cleared.

Well, the angry townspeople and other assorted displeased people are still out there. The last time someone mentioned this was two weeks ago and last night I couldn't go from moongate to moongate without being attacked by crowds of angry people. So, what's that all about? I am new to the World and don't know why they are attacking me.

I cannot handle more than one or two at a time, at this point in my career, so it makes traveling very dangerous.

I tried to reason with one of them but he kept jabbing me with a pitchfork so I had to kill him. *sigh*
