A Wild and Wacky Night in Wind

Last night I was in Mal's house and messaged Shadowstone to see what he was up to. Malacin and I wanted to take Magus to see the new Pillar of Flame in Wind, as he hadn't seen it yet. Shadowstone was already in Wind with Augur Wildwood, so Malacin and I joined them. A few minutes later Edison messaged me and I promptly summoned him and Magus. We puttered around Wind for a a little while, leisurely making our way to the Park entrance.
We dropped down into the park and had a fine time introducting ourselves to the new inhabitants. Gone are those ugly snakes and pesky frenzied ostards. No more gargoyles or gazers or shadow knights. Instead we encountered some blazing spectres, Apostles of the Pillar and fire elementals.
We dispatched the new fiery inhabitants and gathered round the Pillar of Fire. We all touched it and instantly felt smarter. (Granted the warriors among us thought they should touch it multiple times, but alas, they still only felt a little smarter).
While we were all getting smarter, we heard the death cries of Nia Atei. We decided to go help in the search for her corpse. We made it as far as the entrance to the park, up on the roof that contains the teleporter. We received word that others had reached her first and that she had been rescued.
We all got to talking and before too long, Leia Ranar and her pretty purple dragon showed up. She was on her way to the Pillar so we wandered down to the park again to make sure she reached it safely. She indeed reached the Pillar safely (not really due to our ragtag escort service). After she got to feeling smarter, we again ended up at the rooftop teleporter.
There we sat for a while. The men must have gotten into Grampa Ranar's private stock because they were half mindless, but definitely good for a few laughs. Leia and I just shook our head at their silliness. I think the strain of constantly battling evil had finally gotten to them.
Inevitably, our moments of relaxation were interupted by the arrival of some of Wind's finest. We quickly dispatched the townies, laughing at their weakness.
Before too long, some really strange things began to happen. I think we were all affected by the strange mood that had overtaken Shadowstone, Magus, Edison and Augur and could scarcely believe our eyes. What followed was nothing more than sheer lunacy.
A Lord of the Abyss turned Magus into a frog. Suddenly we under attack from all sorts of odd creatures. Purple wisps, a legion of pigs, an ophidian eldar, a squad of Titans, bewitched snipers (now those were just plain weird...green heavy crossbows floating eerily around and packing a mean wallop), some little creatures called mephets, flesh gollems, a buzzard, Frost Giant Shaman, a vampiric ostard. The list of bizarre creatures went on and on. I was seriously beginning to doubt our sanity and, indeed, thought the crazy hallucinations were going to be the death of us. Somehow we all survived this underworld explosion of strange and wondrous creatures.
My ramblings here can't begin to touch on the amazing hilarity and fun we all experienced last night. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Daeric.
We had more fun than I can possibly express in this little post. I laughed so hard and for so long that my sides hurt when I finally dragged myself off to Dreamland.
