Sounds like the Prophet was scared off by the thunderstorms also!
I'd hate to be one of his scouts right now.

There were a few praetorian scouts south of the city yesterday. They carried a similiar note:

Retreat for now. Your scouts were clumsy! You must train them better! Report when all forces have withdrawn!

Asking Boone about the Prophet he says that Talks are underway. Hopefully the matter will be resolved shortly and we can be done with it.
