Favorite TV Show of all Time

Lets start a thread where people give their top 5 favorite TV shows of all time. (Just as a way to pass the time.)
Ground rules:
A. When comparing shows from the past we aren't comparing production values. It's the amount of enjoyment you got out of the show at that point in time. (Some shows seem cheesy by today's standards yet they were friggin' awesome back in the day.)
B. Do not belittle someones choice since you would probably be trampling on their memories.
Here's Mine:
5. Tie: "Transformers" and "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" (both are the original cartoons.)
4. Tie: "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
3. Angel
2. Highlander: The Series
1. Knight Rider

This is kind of a hard topic, because its difficult to compare how much I enjoyed something when I was a kid to how much I enjoy something now. Children just enjoy things differently - I think it has something to do with the fact that everything is new to them. For instance, I currently greatly enjoy the Simpsons, but that enjoyment is rather shallow, despite the fact that its gone on for years: I'm just no longer able to whip up the all-consuming passion for shows that I did as a kid.
So my list, basically heavily weighted towards my childhood:
1) Transformers
2) Star Trek
3) G.I. Joe
4) Dukes of Hazzard
5) Voltron

Ok, I'll bite :O)
I don't think I can limit this to just five.
Series (in no particular order):
Stargate SG-1
Star Trek (but not so much Deep Space Nine)
X-Files
Twin Peaks
Sliders
Poltergeist
Friday the 13th: The Series
Yes, Knight Rider too *sheepish grin*
Forever Knight
Twilight Zone
Lost in Space
Gilligan's Island
Movies (and I'm sure there's more, but these jump out at me as ones I have seen Several times):
Back to the Future (all 3)
The Terminator (all 3)
The Princess Bride
Last of the Mohicans (also more recently, The Missing)
Right now Stargate is on, the first one right after the movie where they pull Col O'Neill out of retirement. I can't wait for the new shows this summer :O)

Well, I just wanted to throw another one in there but I doubt if many here will remember "The Land of the Giants" a 60's weekly series. "Best of the West" a 70's series. "Time Tunnel" another 60's series.
"Lost in Space" 60's.
Here are some cartoons that I enjoyed....
"He-Man and the Masters of the Universe"
"Spiderman and his amazing Spider friends"
There as a daily afterschool program that was called "Garfield Goose" this was in the 60's but I think it was a Chicago(WGN) based program and this was pre-cable days.
"Bozo's Circus" a show which I think mostly everyone knew of and one that I actually was in attendance once. If anyone knows anything about the show, the magic arrows landed on me for the Grand Prize Game....unfortunately, they needed a girl since they already had a boy.
Then there was another afterschool program called "BJ and the Dirty Dragon".
"3 Stooges".
Movies.......
All 3 of "Back to the Future", "Terminator", "Pirates of the Carribean" "Star Wars" all 5 of them.
All "Star Trek" movies.
So as all you can tell, I am kinda showing my age. As for movies, I am more of a fantasy or futuristic fan.

Yes, Sliders was great til Quinn left the show. And nightstalker. Are you talking about the old series with Darin McGavin? If so, that was a great one too.

oh man how could i have forgotten Kolchack and the Nightstalker. do you remember the episode where he was trying to explain to the charming little old lady mother figure that when the rakshasa had taken her form being the person he trusted most in the world he had shot "her" through the heart with the crossbow. now that was tv.
