Hard to understand why be that,

Postby kello on Fri Apr 09, 2004 6:01 pm

At frist i need to say my english is really poor, dont horsewhipped my english teachers  , otherwise, my words maybe give offence to someone, so i say sorry 1st here :( .

be honesty, i was the one to do that, i never seen anyone did it b4 i found this way(my status is under 300 shadowpacks so far), although i stop killing the shadowpack in this way now, but i still can't understand why shouldn't we kill the shadowpack in this way, maybe the valuation we are difference. i am thinking why GM place 3 of guards here, if the way i done is wrong, why the guards still here? maybe GM need to move them out.

moreover, i have a little bit disappointed with here, i was/am very happy in this share, but i read the posts below, it give me a feeling that this share is a apanage to some old hands(maybe i am misunderstand with my poor english), i dunno who they are, maybe a player, maybe GM, i dunno, but i only see someone dislike it, so the rules is it, thats what i can't understand, hey, this a UO game right? it needs a lot chars playing in so that will be fun right? many kind of ppl here, so we have many kind of ways to play in the game, sure thing is not cheating, if hunting near the guard is cheating, i should be banned,

my prospection in here is peaceful(but kello haven't peacemaking skill  ), we like each other, anytime to give out our hands, but it seem i am wrong,

The spirit of the shard is harder to pin down than I realized. Yes, it's a game. Yes, there is a constant need to earn gold. Yes, there are other game mechanics to play by - you HAVE to do things like vendor quests or combat to raise stats and do other things like that.

At the same time, there are honorable ways to do this and less-than-honorable ways. Read the player oath to which we all should be aspiring. Interpret that as you like. I fail to see anything in there that justifies cowardly actions like using guards as your personal militia and leaving dangerous monsters peppered all over the countryside because your chests were full of creatures far too powerful for you to slay on your own.

I'm not trying to start something here. In fact, I'm trying to lay this baby to rest. There's a song to that effect. Something like: let there be peace on WOD, and let it begin with me.
