Speaking of treasure maps. I recieved a frayed map from a spectre. I will have no chance to use it. I am thinking of just adding to your group of free maps. Where would that be?

But, I have some questions first. Should this map say it is from a spectre? or is this a class of maps that has "no corpse", even though there is one. Or is the manual incorrect in its mentioning it will have the name of the corspe it was taking off of?

Or would someone be interested in helping me with this map?

Ciara and Rod have a "Free Treasure Map Chest" in the Haunt which is located near the southwest Britain bridge. The chest is locked down on the counter and is purple colored I think.

I am not sure if the Manual is incorrect about clicking a map to see what sort of MOB it came from. I should try that. In fact, several of the maps I dumped in the chest today came from MOBs. There is a worn, a frayed or two and others.

Once upon a time, treasure maps didn't have the nice, easy level classification system that they do now. When you found a map, it would simply be labeled something like "a treasure map (from a headless)". From that, you might guess that its probably a level 1 map. If it was from a dragon, it was probably a level 4 or 5 map, and if it was from a pirate brute... Um, well, its hard to say...

Eventually the different levels of maps got their own name, and the old mob system was dropped. It looks like the manual is rather badly out-of-date there :P

Ok, I just changed that page. Since the map name and Level are stated in the table on that page, I just snipped the incorrect info above. I also added a little blurb about lockpicking being needed now.
