The Angery townspeople

Postby Adonis on Sun Jul 27, 2003 3:19 am

Hail All
Today was a good day all in all after a long
hunt and many many rescures. We came back to Brit
to count up things and get some rest. Was we wrong
*shakes head* I need some regs so walking to the
mage shop just south of the bank and Belle wanted
to stable her dragon (one of many).

BOOM !! a towns person jump out from under a
building and attacked us. I couldnt believe it
but had to put the towns person down because it
was attack Belle. She looted it and found a
bright new sash on the towns person. The sash
had hand sewed letters on it saying " Sash of
Rebellion". After reading this and we talked about
it some. Started back to the bank.
We ran into another person saying look !! LOOK!!
as he ran by another towns person was attacking him.
We went to the bank met Cloud there and a few others
that we where out with in the rescues. Told them
of this and we got together and start looking
the town over.

Found a few of them here and their, one had
a note staying, The towns people where tired of
the Overlords rule and said united all villagers
and ride themselfs of this ruling class.
I asked Lady Cloud maybe we should check your town
noding to me all of set off to her home.
As soon as we gated into the city we where attacked
not by a few but many of the villagers. They had
gotten weapons and skills of fighting some how
and we tring to use their numbers to down us.
We where lucky and also we skilled in the acts of
war. It took some time but we put this group down
and started to move into town. No sooner did we
move that AGAIN we where attacked and by ever more
of the villagers.

Beware all now the towns arent all that safe
for travel alone. Go in groups and stay will
with your friends.

Hope this helps and one out there and Good Luck.

Apparently the townspeople are upset at their treatment and have rebelled. There were several notes:

"Rise up! Rise up! The time has come to fight our oppressors!"

"The time is here! Gather and rise up! No more theft! No more death at every turn! Protect your valuables. Rise up and overthrow them!"

"The time is now! Lets take back our lives! Stop the killing! Stop the thievery! Hide your valuables! Rise up!"

"We were massacred in the other towns! We may have to do what we were hoping not to have to do..ask for help from our friends. I know it is against our prinicpals. But what choice do we have? Long live the cause of freedom from...(couldn't read the rest of the note as it wouldn't scroll down)"

This was basically a lootless quest and it was wonderful!! There were some clothes and a chest and a few other odds and ends which I sold and gave the gold (with everyone's agreement) to Salnaiu Lucek, who was our only young player participating. He died and received the proceeds to help cover his death taxes.

Unfortunately, many of the Sashes of the Rebellion also were sold when I sold the first bag, which I had no idea would happen. I did rescue some from another bag, though. Everyone who participated got at least one and I had few left over which i gave to people I ran into after the quest was over.

Thanks very much to the seer!! It was wonderful and very refreshing and we had a great time! No loot to worry about and everyone got a nice souvenir! I hope we see many more of these lootless quests in the future! Thank you again :)

uncertain of the spelling of that but it seems that many of the peasants have risen against the proper order of things. this sort of thing must be nipped in the bud as once it spreads we will need to import vast numbers of new peasants to till the land and serve us beer on demand. show no mercy in putting this down.

My son Utwetsi sailed to occlo and no sooner was he off the vessel when he was attacked by a few townspeople. Me, not realizing what was happening, quickly began to ask him what he had done to cause them to wish him dead. Twice he said nothing- and i shook my head. Upon arrival with Kirsten i realized they were angry townspeople and helped him dispatch them.

He loves his new sash of rebellion. Thank you to the seer for his first quest on WoD. I think he is hooked now and im off to order him pizza to celebrate.

We have killed a couple bunches of angry townspeople and have some extra sashes. If you did not get one yet and had participated in this quest pm me or find me in game. I will be more then happy to share in our find.

***Note to seer*** Thank You for the most enjoyable quest i have been on in a long time. The mobs were not to tough to kill, yet offered a challange. The loot was PERFECT!! To me the sashes are worth far more then the gold you could have included. I am more then content to have just that and no other loot.

Thanks Again for all you do!!!!!

Brigands have started attacking on the edge of town and I found a note that says "Gather gold the usual way. We need to help our friends. The payoff could be great." I think the rebellion is on and spread.

Speaking about Brigands and Pirates I went straight into their HQ at Buccs and after I cut the heads of a few rebellions one of them dropped a book.

A HELPING HAND

By: The Pirate´s Guild

We, and the other fine folk of this fair Island would be more than willing to help the wonderful townfolk of Britannia. However, we would need some help in return. This venture could turn out to be very expensive. We require some could to help offsett our expenses.

We understand that the poor townfolks in Britannia are also poor, like us, due to years of oppression by the powerful warriors and mages of the land. In this times of troubles we must band together and stay together against this tyranny.

I hope that, if you can help us with our expenses, we can help you with your troubles. Please convey our best wishes to you leaders for a victorious outcome.

In the end, We Shall Prevail !!!

Don't the villagers and townspeople serve the same queen that we all do? When did we "oppress" them to cause them to rebel?

I ran into a few of these rebels in Serp's Hold today and quickly dispatched them. One of them gave me a "Sash of Rebellion." Cool name, but it doesn't appear to do anything. It might be a good item for the realm museum if there is still one.

I ran into this group at the Trinsic docks today. Disposed of the Angry Townspeople with ease but their Master assassins can be tough if you are soloing so be careful out there.

Maybe if these towns people wasnt used (by some) to kill and loot, they wouldnt feel so mistreated. If the players would have taken care of the towns people instead, by paying them fair prices for their goods, ensuring them good living conditions, then there wouldnt have been this revolt. But alass, there is many that feel these towns people are there for our use as we see fit and for our own amusment.
