I propose that Drocket drop off 20-30 max str points for a mage char, and the same for int on warrior chars. A mage that when buffed has a str of say 40 - 60 would be much more realistic than one with 145 str. the lost points would trickle to the other areas where they would make a lot more sense.
The additional str. for a warrior would enhance his damage, and the int. would play into mana for a mage.
Next point of contention is weight. How about adding the weight restrictions back in relation to stamina. I carry somewhere between 3200 and 5500 stone at any given time. Gramps has seen the upper end of 8k stone. There is more of a chance of spotting an elf than there is any one being able to tote 3k stone even if it were 3 tiles.
These ideas are just tossed in there to see what you think, if you like it say so, if not say so. It is highly unlikely you will hurt my feelings.

If I recall, before I switched Simon’s specs he had only 37 for intelligence, a 30 point drop would mean 7 for intelligence, all this is base of course. Nerfing the max strength buff mages get just wouldn’t be a sound idea. Tanks do get around the same strength buffed as a fully buffed mage does. The AR rating should be lower mages though, they can after all cast heal on them selfs with out failing.
Any drop in base strength would require a drop in the studded leather requirements.
If the max weight were to be messed with, the end result would be a bunch of pack mules running around.

Something else i missed, that would make flame strike cast by NPCs on PCs insta-kill, it does infact 40-60 even with 100MR.

Mind blast would insta kill tanks too, right?

Why would mind blast kill a tank?
If a mage had 60 str, flame strike would be insta kill, as well as any other type of spell or other things do 40 - 60 in one hit.

so maybe the 60str is a bit low, but a mage shouldnt have the same str and ar as a tank when tanks dont get (or use) the mana of a mage

*looks nervous*
so....
*edges back from the monitor*
Since we're discussing radical change here anyway ...
*backs up more*
I been kicking around trying out a few other shards for the last little while, predominatly runuo ones, and the more systems I try, the more I wonder if the whole permabuff (well close enough to it) we have here isn't the wrong way to go.
Maybe all buffs should be extreemly short duration.
Now a lot of rebalancing would have to be done, songest tamable would probably have to drop to named dragon, some of the midrange and harder mobs whould have to be scaled back in strength, trolls ogres and the like, I'd be inclined to leave the very hardest as they are now though, keeping the vamps out of vesper and clearing famine would become an epic level task, not something one or two people can saunter through and accomplish. Likewise actually taking out an ancient dragon would become something to brag about and not just be "ho hum, killed my 300th ancient drag today".
Just a thought...

Also, are we talking about buffing at 100 mage/invo or 110 mage/invo, as a reminder not every one has mage buffs. Andy has 110 nerco, 104 mage/invo, I would say that i do see 1-2 point difference between 100 and 104 so at 10 110 you could see maybe 5 or 6.
But totaly buffed up the most int. i ever seen was 186, My tank never came close to that in str.
I think you could lower the str buff for mages, but incress the extra mana buffs 2 fold, that would even things out.

Weren't you on your way out, Fitz? Don't let our 'outrageous' claim to honesty hinder you from leaving.
