Last night, today, tonight I've thought of you,

Removing us from our past, moving to a new road

Desire a lover, yet fear to lose a friend
Giving each our thoughts and sharing feelings
New to us this touching of hearts and mind

The past is gone, yet ahead of us there is more
Holding hands and touching lips trying to understand
Hearing the words from your lips, like a bird singing

I can only say, Darling I LOVE YOU
Give unto me they heart to protect and love
In your hands my heart I place, without fear

Rolls the scroll back up after reading and lets out a big sigh. Yes, she thought, I am afraid to give all of my heart. Puts the scroll away in her cedar chest along with the other poems and letters from Adonis. He would not give up pursuit and his persistance made her reconsider. "I am interested", she said softly.
